Lone Star Land:

A second website,
a sharper brand.

Lone Star Land secures planning consent for landowners, working through the planning process on their behalf to unlock value in land that would otherwise sit undeveloped. Brown + Cooper built their first website for the business several years ago, back when Lone Star Land was still establishing itself in a competitive, relationship-led sector.

Since then, the business has grown, a longer track record, more live projects, and a reputation that now precedes them in conversations with landowners and advisors. The brand and website built for that earlier stage no longer reflected the business Lone Star Land had become.

For this second project, the brief was to sharpen the brand and rebuild the site around it: clearer messaging, a more confident tone, a modern edge that didn’t lose the credibility they’d already built. Not a reset, but a brand allowed to catch up with the business behind it.

Land promotion is a trust business. Clients commit for years, often through long and complicated planning processes, so a brand has to earn confidence quickly and hold it. The refresh sharpened Lone Star Land’s identity without discarding what already worked, cleaner typography, a more assured colour palette, and messaging that explains what they do plainly.

The tone shift mattered as much as the visual one. Every page was rewritten to sound like a business that wins: confident, direct, and specific, rather than one explaining itself. That confidence had to be earned honestly: Lone Star Land’s reputation was built over years, so the new brand had to read as an evolution of that track record, not a reset of it.

A sharper brand, a stronger site, and a second project we were glad to be trusted with.
